A gathering and performance as part of Xarkis Festival (Cyprus), 2024.

Through the intertwined and everyday rituals of weaving and shelling, Lauren Mavromati Bourke and Eleni Christou initiate a dialogue rooted in reimagining ancestral practice, nourishing the knowledge lost across generations, disconnecting and connecting Cyprus and Australia. Speaking about the space between islands / between generations / between (former??) colonies and moments of silliness found in the process.
